ONE THING AT A TIME
Single-Channel Video and Archival Pigment Prints

This body of work was created while hiking north 800 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail during the summer of 2014. This project makes aesthetic physical aspects of exercise that tend to be hidden or suppressed - sweat, dirt, injury, dead skin - and is accompanied by an awareness of the changing landscape. While hiking, I partook in daily photographic rituals I used to punctuate time. For example, I photographed my feet at the end of every hiking day as well as the sun at the moment it disappeared from view.
