Tumbleweed Trundling

For this year's NEPO 5k Don't Run Art Walk, I gathered tumbleweeds from Western states (Nevada, Utah, Eastern Washington and Southcentral Idaho). I wove these plants into one giant calico tumbleweed and rolled it five kilometers from NEPO House in Seattle's Beacon Hill to the Kobe Terrace Gardens in the International District. Along the way there were endless encounters with NEPO 5k partipicants. The tumbleweed deteriorated and compressed its shape, creating a trail for people to follow.
